ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Packages and prepares equipment and supplies prior to distribution.
  • Fills orders by preparing supplies to be distributed to patients. 
  • Processes paperwork for distribution of equipment and supplies.  
  • Ensures distribution forms, requisitions, purchase order forms and packaging slips are completed accurately.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on all products received before stocking or distributing goods.
  • Ensures warehouse is maintained in an efficient, clean and safe manner. 
  • Reports stock levels to supervisor.

  • Instructs patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services permitted or allowed by state licensure limitations. 
  • Ensures patients understand how to operate and maintain equipment.
  • Responsible for routine patient follow-up related to equipment by providing additional equipment instruction when necessary.
  • Responds to emergency delivery calls on a regular and on-call basis.
  • Loads, delivers and sets up respiratory, durable medical equipment, oxygen and other necessary supplies to homecare patients. 
  • May pick up, clean and disinfect medical equipment.
  • Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition according to manufacturer's guidelines and Company Policy.
  • Prepares and maintains all pertinent patient care forms and required billing forms. 
  • Completes all required D.O.T., F.D.A., and other required regulatory paperwork per company guidelines and instruction. 
  • Directs all paperwork to appropriate personnel on a daily basis. 
  • Maintains daily vehicle maintenance logs and incident reports. 
  • Ensures delivery vehicles are in proper working condition.

The Transfill Technician will participate in all production aspects of filling high pressure medical oxygen cylinders - prefill inspections, filling, and post filling processes - in a regulated environment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect and prepare aluminum and steel cylinders.
  • Connect cylinders to filling manifolds.
  • Fill high pressure cylinders with oxygen.
  • Disconnect, Test, and Inspect cylinders - verifying filling requirements.
  • Perform post-fill processes.
  • Store oxygen cylinders in appropriate section of department/warehouse.
  • Document all worked performed according to written policy.
  • Maintain accurate files of all work performed.  Files contain such information as lot and batch numbers, cylinder maintenance and inspection logs, and materials required by the F.D.A.
  • Ensure all workstations are maintained in an efficient, clean and safe manner.

  • Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
  • Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
  • Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs.  Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel. 
  • Maintains supply component of patient profiles.

  • Respond to ETA calls from patients and referral sources.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction is obtained by answering questions, resolving issues and using proper phone etiquette.
  • Maintains communication with the LCE routers and dispatchers regarding equipment orders and patient concerns. 
  • Troubleshoots equipment problems and resolves service related issues. 
  • Ensures all communications between internal and external customers are documented in a concise and timely manner.
