JOB SUMMARY

The VP of FP&A is responsible for the financial planning and analysis function of the company.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs the preparation of the annual operating budget and quarterly operating forecasts.
  • Directs the preparation of the annual capital budget and quarterly capital forecasts.
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of the forecasted balance sheet, cash flow statement and related metrics.
  • Directs and participates in the preparation of monthly analysis of actual results compared to budget and forecasts.
  • Responsible for the company’s profitability analysis.
  • Directly manages 3 full time employees, primarily at the director and manager level; oversees department of approximately 6 full time employees.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall team development

Minimum Required Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience with increasing level of responsibilities.
  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A and complex financial analysis. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • N/A

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional knowledge of market practices and trends in analytics by dimensions of workforce, logistics, finance, and operations.
  • Exceptional knowledge of analytics tools and processes.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Financial Systems, HR processes, ERP systems, and implementations.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communications skills: written, oral and through presentations at the C - suite level.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Strong business acumen and operational vision.  Must be able to see the “big picture” while managing the details. 
  • Must enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to travel 10%. 

 

Computer Skills

  • Computer savvy with: MS Office.

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

Mathematical Skills

  • College level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (only include Preferred Qualifications if needed)

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • Masters or MBA preferred.
  • BI or Data Analytics experience a plus.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
