The Director Wound Care will collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.  Most importantly, this position nurtures culture and engagement while overseeing strategies focused on improving the overall experience of employees and patients.  Key responsibilities for creating a positive, employee-centric environment include:

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Wound Care Director is responsible for supporting zone sales, and clinical support functions for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) in order to achieve zone revenue and starts objectives. This position will help strengthen the foundation for continued growth for NPWT by providing support and direction to zone field sales team members

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting fields sales team members to achieve zone’s annual starts and revenue objectives and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with Region VP’s on the development and execution of zone-level strategic sales initiatives
  • Develop, mentor and train zone field sales personnel to become confident competent in selling NPWT
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators, as identified by corporate scorecard metrics
  • Establish and manage transition sales process from acute care accounts to post-acute
  • Establish and maintain key strategic account relationships within IDNs, Wound Care Clinics and Payor community
  • Work with internal partners (Marketing, NPWT CCC, Reimbursement, Training and Logistics)
  • Work and collaborate with Apria’s manufacturer partners within the would care market space 
  • Assist in converting target account accounts when specifically requested from leadership
  • Execute the training plans that are developed for Clinical Account Managers (CAMs).
  • As CAMs take on the role of driving NPWT business in their territory, this position will assist in executing the training plans and agenda that is developed to ensure the CAMs have the skill-set and knowledge necessary to grow their business
  • Performs other duties as required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position manages all direct reports of the department and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, and discipline of direct reports within the department.
  • Provides direction and guidance in work assignments. 
  • Provides timely coaching and feedback to staff. 
  • Ensures work assignments are completed accurately, efficiently and timely. 

Minimum Required Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of management experience preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of NPWT and wound care in a homecare setting
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor.
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics.

  • Intermediate level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
