    JOB SUMMARY

    The Senior Magento Developer will be responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the overall Magento systems architecture, facilitating and establishing guidelines for technology approaches including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration and support of multiple online websites. This position will work alongside our eCommerce business and developers.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsibilities are to analyze, design, test, implement, deploy and provide on-going support of any new technical strategies or processes that facilitate increased user flexibility within the eCommerce platform.  
    • Design and develop eCommerce applications using the Magento 2 eCommerce Platform.
    • Collaborate with other areas such as Salesforce and JD Edwards development teams for integration, development and deployment of end to end solutions.
    • Experience working with a team of developers (onshore, offshore, vendor) and proven ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
    • Lead code-review sessions to identify potential problem areas and suggest alternative solutions and enforce best practices.
    • Documents development specifications such as user stories and designs.
    • Develop unit and integration test scripts to test business logic and system functionality.
    • Understands Magento configuration and technical features and capabilities.
    • Streamline system functionality standards such as naming conventions, etc.   
    • Identify and solve data integrity and integration related issues.
    • Improve usability and design of all systems/apps and document release notes.
    • Experience working within an agile software development environment.
    • Manage all production and non-prod environments
    • Troubleshoot business and production issues.
    • Provide on-call support for all critical Magento application related issues. 
    • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Education and/or Experience

    • Education or experience equivalent to a four-year degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 5+ years professional Magento application development experience including PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.net, REST/SOAP APIs and MySQL.
    • Experience with relational databases, database caching, database optimization/scaling and MySQL queries.
    • Experienced in UX/UI design.
    • Proficient with code version control tools such as GitHub.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

    • Certified in Magento Enterprise Edition version 2 or above.

     

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

    • Excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and mentor other team members.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

     

    Computer Skills

    • Computer savvy with: MS Excel, MS Office and MS Project required.

    Language Skills

    • English (reading, writing, verbal)

     

    Mathematical Skills

    • College level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (only include Preferred Qualifications if needed)

     

    Education and/or Experience

    • Understanding of session management, SEO Methodologies, login profiles, single sign-on and SAML a plus.
    • Healthcare Industry experience is a plus.
    • eCommerce retail industry experience preferred

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
