    SUMMARY

    Under the general guidance of the Manager and/or Director of Information Security, the Administrator of Information Security provides support in the day-to-day operational aspect of I.T. system security designs and solutions in conjunction with the Security Architects and Analysts. This administrative role will participate on project teams across business and IT groups. This role will also assist in administering enterprise information security initiatives in support of the core security functions of the Information Security group.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist Security Architect and Analysts in all aspects of information security systems administration particularly in the maintenance of security policies and standards across IT systems. (40% of time)
    • Performs day-to-day administrative work that relates to IT risk and compliance, internal investigations, audits, assessments, in conjunction with Legal, HR, Corporate Compliance, and Internal Audit. (25% of time)
    • Ensures compliance with information security policies and monitor policy exceptions. Assist in the Security Awareness Program. (20% of time)
    • Administer cyber threat news feeds including investigations and qualifying incidents reported. (15% of time)
    • Performs other duties as required.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Education and/or Experience

    • A minimum of one (1) year work experience in any technical field.

     Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

    • N/A

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

     

    • Excellent interpersonal, oral/presentation and written communications skills in both technical and non-technical language.
    • Conceptual and analytical thinker.
    • Team player and able to work effectively with others with a demonstrated cultural awareness for interactions.
    • Flexible and adaptable process-oriented work style; strong demonstrated work ethic; personal time management skills.
    • Demonstrated work ethic that emphasizes customer focus, quality and continuous improvement.
    • Self-directed with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and produce quality of work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with incident response, forensics, malware analysis, and secure code review is a plus.

     Language Skills

    • English (reading, writing, verbal)

     Computer Skills

    • All Microsoft Office applications at and intermediate level or higher.

     Mathematical Skills

    • Strong level of mathematical proficiency, with the ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (only include Preferred Qualifications if needed)

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

    • An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical or business discipline is preferred.
    • An industry recognized certification (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CISA) is preferred but not required.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder.  Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
