    JOB SUMMARY

    The Sr. Manager, User Experience Designer and Front-end Web developer is responsible for defining, developing and delivering an integrated, and best-in-class customer experience (information architecture, product comparison charts, prototypes user interface designs, and visual language for mobile, tablet, and desktop) across company platforms that grow market share, increase user retention and drive growth in the Apria Healthcare retail division. In collaboration and support from agency partners, the Sr Manager User Experience Designer and Front -End Web Developer will manage front-end development and design across Apria Healthcare’s current and upcoming retail branded sites.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review and evaluate customer demand, sales trends, and industry developments to determine new product opportunities and digital placement.
    • Recommend additional service offerings and usability enhancements.
    • Ensure labeling and marketing/promotional literature match product specifications
    • Create product concept requirements, SKU assortment, pricing strategies, launch planning, channel relevance and anticipate post launch product support needs.
    • Develop, maintain and share the product SKU list as directed by the VP of Ecommerce.
    • Work directly with eCommerce Team, Field Technicians Personnel, Customer Service, Business Intelligence and Procurement on new product concepts and market “needs” based on customer feedback.
    • Leverage user testing to test design concepts and attempt to validate proof of concept and increase purchase conversion.
    • Work closely and in support with Professional Agencies to create specific persona, buying journey maps, and related user experience requirements for continuous website optimization to convert sales.
    • Create user-focused designs informed by market analysis, customer feedback and requirements, and user research analytics.
    • Develop example high-level requirements, conceptual diagrams, and visual interface designs click through pro-types as necessary
    • Create key design deliverables specific to each product, such as scenarios and use-cases.
    • Manage content management reports, configurations and plugin selections
    • Other duties as assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This position manages all subordinate employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, and discipline of management within the department.

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • 5-8 years of experience in Front-end Development and UX Design

    • An online or digital portfolio demonstrating breadth and depth in UX and visual design, conceptual thinking, and creative problem solving across platforms.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and present effectively, both orally and in writing to both large and small groups.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to understand impacts of simple to moderately complex concepts.
    • Ability to influence internal stakeholders, customers and business leaders.
    • Ability to visualize and contribute to the presentation of an idea or project (from concept and design to presentation)
    • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Strong leadership, creative, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
    • Customer focused with a strong awareness of the Apria Healthcare brand and target customer.
    • Strong relationship builder both within the organization and with external vendors and partners.
    • Must exhibit a passion for the company’s growth stage in ecommerce and desire to expand and grow awareness for the Apria Healthcare retail brands and products online.

    Computer Skills

    • Microsoft® Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

    Language Skills

    • English (reading, writing, verbal)

     

    Mathematical Skills

    • College level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

     

    Other Skills

    • Must be willing to work occasional weekends, and holidays from remote office to support launch and critical project timelines.
    • HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
    • Hands on experience with Magento Enterprise, Google Analytics, Domo, WordPress

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (only include Preferred Qualifications if needed)

     

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science or Business Management preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience as Interface Designer, Information Architect, or similar UX-related role for mobile and web.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder.  Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
