The Employee Onboarding Specialist is responsible for coordinating, executing, and actively managing onboarding activities for all Apria new hires, from offer acceptance through the first day of employment.



  • Responsible for the timely and correct onboarding of employees -from the start of the open requisition through the first week of employment
  • Provides support to hiring managers from start to finish in hiring a new employee to their team
  • Assists candidates with questions and any technical issues that may arise when trying to apply for an open position
  • Manages the on-boarding tasks in the applicant tracking system and background checks to ensure there are no delays
  • Collaborates with compensation on manager questions, new job creation and job offers
  • Partners with recruiters answering or escalating questions
  • Frequently follows up with hiring manager on progress of on-boarding their candidate and notifies them of any delays
  • Acts as the liaison between Customer Care Centers and HR Service Center on high volume hiring and will coordinate activities
  • Responsible for ensuring all new hire forms are properly completed and signed
  • Coordinate the onboarding training call
  • Identify process improvements present such ideas to the team
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation
  • Performs daily new hire load from iCIM’s to EV5
  • Manages MSS transactions
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications



  • A four-year college degree or equivalent experience is required
  • At least two years of previous experience is required

  • Strong customer service skills with proven track record

Computer Skills

  • Computer savvy with: MS Excel, MS Office and MS Project required.
  • iCIMS applicant tracking system or other applicant system experience a must.

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)


Mathematical Skills

  • College level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.



This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder.  Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position. Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to moderate noise.
