The Senior Director of Corporate Development is responsible for overseeing the M&A process from origination, evaluation, design, structuring of targets aligned to company strategy, preparing indications of interest, presentations to senior management, manage due diligence, and assist in reviewing documents and closing transactions including analysis relating to raising debt and equity . 



  • Analyze and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners and venture capital sources.
  • Identify potential acquisition targets based on defined company strategy/criteria.
  • Manage due diligence process from start to finish. Ability to work with cross functional teams both internal and external to execute acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Origination of M&A investment opportunities through engagement across business/investor communities and through the investment banking network.
  • Evaluation of target businesses for acquisition including the development of financial models, design and structuring of transactions, and the assessment of the transaction impact.
  • Prepares presentation materials summarizing investment opportunities for M&A, new products/lines of business or other investment opportunities as requested by senior management.
  • Prepare ROI and other investment analysis for products and or services.
  • Compile data for independent valuation analysis and/or auditors.
  • Assist with the maintenance of credit facilities process, including preparation of financial and compliance reporting packages.
  • Prepare complex cash flow forecasts and models.
  • Ability to present information, analysis and financial data in a clear, concise manner to non-financial managers and senior leadership.
  • Complete other finance related assignments as requested.
  • High sense of customer service both internally and externally.
  • Performs other duties as required.


  • Supervises subordinate staff for development, project direction and production quality and quantity.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance appraisal and disciplining of subordinate staff.

Minimum Required Qualifications



Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.  
  • 10 + years of experience in corporate development, corporate finance, transaction advisory services or investment banking.
  • Experience supervising a staff of up to 1 – 2.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • N/A



  • Strong knowledge of finance applied financial theory coupled with exceptional analytical capabilities.
  • Experience building complex financial models from scratch.
  • Experience establishing and managing due diligence data sites.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work closely with groups in a cross functional environment.
  • Good communication skills.


Computer Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel skills and PowerPoint are required.

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, verbal).


Mathematical Skills

  • College level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (only include Preferred Qualifications if needed)


Education and/or Experience

  • MBA preferred.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • CFA/CPA candidates preferred.



  • Merger & acquisition experience a plus.
  • Healthcare background a plus.
